051 - WORK & STUDY PROGRAM - Central & South America
 
Our "Study and Work Program" is designed for people who come to Canada to study ESL -English as a Second Language in any institute across Canada. Vamos a Canada offers the student a part time work opportunity and will assist the student in settling in, finding a job, accommodation, social networking, and getting around Canada.

Working and Studying in this country is often considered the best way to gain firsthand experience of a culture and its people. Work and Study program gives the student the opportunity to gain some Canadian experience which helps them to learn and in some cases pay for their expenses.

The program consists in 3 months, 4 months, 5 months, 6 months, and 1 year of Intensive or Standard English classes (ESL PROGRAM) and a paid job.

Admission Requirements
  • Good communication in English - intermediate or advanced
  • Candidates will be interviewed and should have an updated copy of their resume
  • To be independent and mature
  • Medical Insurance
  • Student Visa
  • This program consists of a full time ESL program in any institute.
  • Immigration Canada establishes that the academic portion and work practice in most programs should have the same duration (50/50). In this specific program the school has the final decision of how many hours a week the student can work.
  • To be extremely flexible in the place of work and to be willing to work including cleaning and other entry-level positions
Some of the areas where the students are able to work
  • Most of the positions are inside the hospitality industry:
    * Any service staff
    * Waiter / waitress
    * Cashier
    * Receptionist
    * Kitchen assistant
    * Sales
    * Dishwasher, etc.
  • Landscaping
  • Snow removal
