Immigrating
to Canada - Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
Each year Canada gets thousands of new immigrants. The
government goal is to bring the equivalent to 1% of the population
(currently 30 million) every year.
Important: The current Immigration and Refugee
Protection Act (IRPA) indicates that an applicant must prove
their language proficiency at the time of submitting the application
for federal permant residence with an approved test (this
does not apply to the Quebec program).
The only tests approved by the Immigration department (CIC)
are the International English Language Testing System IELTS for English and the Test d'Evaluation
de Francais TEF
for French. These tests can be taken periodically throughout

Working
Holidays Visa:
This program was created for young
people who are recent College / University graduates or currently
enrolled students, 18 to 30 years old. The program allows
the individual to get an open work permit for a maximum of
1 year.
This program is listed under Section 5.34 of the Foreign Worker
Manual, in compliance with Sections 186, 187 and 205(b) of
the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
The individual can only participate in this program once and
must be a citizen of any one the following countries:
Austria , Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan,
Korea, New Zealand, Holland, Sweden and the U.K. (the U.K.
requires a specific employer).
