Immigrating to Canada - Temporary Residents

Each year Canada gets thousands of new immigrants. The government goal is to bring the equivalent to 1% of the population (currently 30 million) every year.

Important: The current Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) indicates that an applicant must prove their language proficiency at the time of submitting the application for federal permant residence with an approved test (this does not apply to the Quebec program).

The only tests approved by the Immigration department (CIC) are the International English Language Testing System IELTS for English and the Test d'Evaluation de Francais TEF for French. These tests can be taken periodically throughout the world. For more information about the test click on the appropriate link or go here

NAFTA, GATS, CCFTA and other Treaty Programs:
The Canadian government has signed many treaties and accords with other countries. Among the most important ones are NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) with Mexico and the USA, GATS (General Agreement on Trade and Services) and the CCFTA (Canada - Chile Free Trade Agreement) with Chile. These programs allow people to get temporary work permits faster and easier, as they eliminate requirements that apply to people from other countries. Mainly, they exempt the job offer from needing a Labour Market Opinion from HRSDC (Human Resources and Skills Development Canada). For more information about these programs visit our
Treaties section

As immigration consultants members of the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants, Vamos a Canada is authorized to undertake any immigration proceedings and to represent clients before the government. We can help you prepare and submit your permanent and temporary residence applications as well as tourist and student visas. But it doesn't stop there: our fees include our settlement services, and we are still cheaper than most immigration firms who provide no such services.
We are unique in the sense that we don't leave you on your own when you get your visa. We pick you up upon arrival and walk by your side during your first days in Canada.
This is the Vamos a Canada difference. Leave all your immigration process on our hands and write us an email for fee information as well as our different packages.
