Each year Canada gets thousands of new immigrants. The
government goal is to bring the equivalent to 1% of the population
(currently 30 million) every year.
Important: The current Immigration and Refugee
Protection Act (IRPA) indicates that an applicant must prove
their language proficiency at the time of submitting the application
for federal permant residence with an approved test (this
does not apply to the Quebec program).
The only tests approved by the Immigration department (CIC)
are the International English Language Testing System IELTS for English and the Test d'Evaluation
de Francais TEF
for French. These tests can be taken periodically throughout

Business Class - Entrepreneur
Category:
Must show business experience, have a net worth of at least
$300,000 CAD and must own and manage a business that will
create jobs and contribute to the economy. This class is conditional
because in order to get permanent residence the entrepreneur
must own and manage a business in Canada and must create at
least 1 full time job for a canadian citizen or permanent
resident that's NOT a relative.
